SYSTEMIC was formed in 2004 to understand and resolve organisation
wellbeing challenges. Headed up by Robin and Karl, there is a synergistic understanding of the psychological needs of the
people and the commercial needs of the organisation. Getting these in true balance is a massive challenge and needs to be
constantly monitored.
Start adding up the cost of absenteeism, numbers of leavers, sickness
and reduced output and the pay-back of some focus on wellbeing becomes more believable and compelling.
People are not machines, they are highly sensitive not only to situations
at work, the way they are managed and motivated, but also in the way they look after themselves, their personal life and their
lifestyle in general – and all these areas have an impact on their effectiveness when at work.
As an employer, your influence on all these factors may seem limited,
but quite often the contrary is true, by addressing the underlying causes rather than the effects you may be able to manage
your investment more effectively.
Workplace health and well-being is about the effects of:
- health on work and
- work on health
and how mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health influences
a persons ability to carry out their duties at work.
Research has shown that integrating workplace wellbeing into
the core business of the organisation is a good investment which leads to higher productivity and enhanced customer satisfaction.
